Peter R. Skelton

Mr. Skelton came to KAFL Insurance Resources in 1992 serving as a Brokerage Manager cultivating relationships with advisors and assisting them in seeking out and crafting the best insurance solutions for their clients.  As of January 2011, he was appointed as President, taking great pride in paving the path for the future and growth of KAFL.

Currently, Peter is the CEO of KAFL. His responsibilities include developing relationships with strategic partner accounts in our targeted growth markets.  He also analyzes which geographic areas have market opportunities and works with the leadership team to develop strategies to grow market share in those regions.

In the past, Peter has served as the President for the National Brokerage Association.  He was also the featured speaker for the Rochester Estate Planning Council covering Secondary Guarantee Life Insurance and served on the Board of Directors for Rochester Life Underwriters.

Peter spends his time as a volunteer coach for his three boy’s lacrosse teams and is an active firefighter and EMT for the St. Paul Fire Department in Irondequoit, New York.

Lorrie Gibbons, MS, ACS, FLMI

Lorrie began her career at KAFL Insurance Resources as the Director of Operations in 2006 and became Vice President in 2013 and President & Managing Principal in 2015.  With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from SUNY Geneseo and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource & Leadership Development from St. John Fisher College, the position has proven to be an excellent platform for her to exercise her ability to manage the staff and business operations of KAFL’s 30 employees and over 1000 affiliated advisors.  She has extensive knowledge of the industry with over 15 years in the field.  She also is focused on client centered customer service strategies along with strategic leadership and planning initiatives to effectively grow the agency and internal support team.

Lorrie holds her NYS Life, Accident & Health Insurance License along with her ACS and FLMI designations through the LOMA Organization.  She is an active member of industry organizations, NAILBA and AIMCOR.  She is the Regional Principal for our agency membership within the AIMCOR Enterprise Information Group, which focuses its efforts on regional support for specialized broker dealer relationships. She is also an active member in the Employee Ownership Organizations, ESOP Association and NCEO (National Center for Employee Ownership).  She spearheads and coordinates many of the KAFL Continuing Education and training sessions that the agency hosts New York State.  She has also written publications on strategic leadership and employee empowerment.

Lorrie is active in the community working with organizations like Adoption Star, Golisano Children’s Hospital and Lollypop Farm.  She resides in Penfield, New York with her husband, twin boys, daughter and black lab!
